Intangible Gifts

15 06 2013

Simple…
Seemingly finite, and yet endless,

in our mortal span,

are the things which amaze consistently:

The bloom of a flower.
The flow of a river.
The tide of a sea.
Each new day.

Intangible gifts, taken,

in a perpetual exchange of mediocrity between ourselves,

and that which sustains creation itself.
These simple, expected things, hold in their tender wombs,
divinity,
with no expectations for itโ€™s gifts.

simple expected things…true…we do…like each dawn…there is something beautiful in its repetition…each one different but the same in that it is fresh opportunity….the rhythm of waves….take any of those away and it would surely rock our world…

yes…they hold divinity in their wombs..what a beautiful way to express the magic.. and the best is that it’s given non-expectantly…just for us to enjoy…makes me stand in awe again and again

Thank you my friend, the ‘list’s’ hardest task was to keep it simple. ๐Ÿ™‚

There is, for me, something about the transience of living things that makes their beauty even more acute, as you’ve expressed so well here.

makes one wonder if we deserve these gifts we so often forget to appreciate.
